Synopsis:
After losing his parents, teenage Ike is left to the custody of his older brother Jack who'd do anything to keep Ike happy. Eventually after Jack is shot by corrupt cops, Ike is left all by himself to survive on the streets. Once nearly killed in a street fight he is rescued by Victor, the local mob boss.
With Victor's crew, he finds the familial comfort, role models, respect, and prosperity. Ike grows within the mob to become Victor's favorite soldier, and a surrogate son of his own.
With an extremely lucrative business opportunity, allegedly mixed up with oil money from the Middle East and U.S. government officials, Victor faces his own death and the collapse of his powerful organization. Ike, having lost all he had come to love and believe in, contemplates suicide. However, right before he kills himself, Ike discovers that Victor had purposely saved his life once more. Finally Ike makes the choice to try to live the pure life he once knew as a child.
